Sheboygan County is served by nine separate school districts, each offering comprehensive K-12 educations. The Sheboygan Area School District was cited as a Gold Medal District by Expansion Management Magazine for two consecutive years. The city of Sheboygan is also served by two parochial high schools, one middle and 10 parochial elementary schools, with K-8 parochial educations available in the Belgium, Oostburg, Plymouth, Random Lake and Sheboygan Falls areas.

Higher education opportunities include Lakeland College (an independent liberal arts college), Lakeshore Technical College(offering one year technical diplomas and two year associates degrees), and the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan (part of the state-wide system).
